VCT is inexpensive, comes in lots of colors and can be installed by a home owner. VCT is durable and lasts forever. Just look at an old schoolhouse or grocery store.&nbsp; Some carpets are very inexpensive choices and deals are everywhere. Remnats can save even more.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>I agree with Mark. &nbsp;Carpet or vinyl flooring is generally cheaper than a wood finish. &nbsp;If you like wood, laminate is much cheaper than solid or engineered hardwood.</p>
