Is tiling a backsplash a good DIY project?

Never tiled before. Is a kitchen backsplash a beginner-friendly project or harder than it looks?

A backsplash is one of the better beginner tile projects — small area, vertical (no heavy foot traffic), and peel-and-stick or standard tile both work. The tricky parts are outlets, cuts around edges, and clean grout lines. Take your time, use spacers, and seal the grout. If it's natural stone or a complex pattern, consider a pro.
