Ventless (heat-pump or condenser) units are great when you can't run a vent — closets, apartments, older buildings. They're energy efficient and flexible on placement, but dry cycles run longer and capacity is smaller than a vented dryer. For a small home or tight space, the flexibility usually outweighs the slower drying. Just plan for the condensate drain or reservoir.
