Are brick floors durable?

They can easily withstand heavy foot traffic, are fire-resistant, and if properly sealed and maintained, can last for generations.

Yeah, brick floors are super tough — like last-for-generations tough. You can drop stuff, drag furniture, have people tromping through all day, and they just shrug it off. That's why you still see the original brick in really old houses. Couple things to know though: brick soaks up liquid, so you gotta seal it (and re-seal every so often) or spills'll stain it. And the grout between the bricks is usually what cracks first, not the brick itself — easy enough to patch. Downsides is its kinda rough and uneven.
